CHANGELOG

What we’re building, in the open.

Every Exo release, newest first. The version next to the logo is the one you’re on.

  1. v0.7

    Twelve layers

    • The stack is now twelve layers: storage joins app state, pages join the design system, and CRM joins communications & support.
    • Analytics is now Observability, and AI is Artificial intelligence. The docs follow the same twelve pages, and old links redirect.
    • Every platform in the stack table links to its official site.
    • Each layer names the Exo tool you use (Exo, Key, Design, Deploy, Broadcast, Pay, Verify, Analyze, Router) in its own column, next to the infrastructure underneath.
    • The release notes under the version number slide down and push the page, instead of appearing all at once.
  2. v0.6

    Join the Rebellion

    • New landing page: every layer of the stack has its own building in the Exo base, right in the stack table.
    • Exo tools are shown as products: Key, Deploy, Pay, Verify, Analyze, and Router, each with the platforms it runs on.
    • What’s new drops down from the version number next to the logo, with the full changelog one click away.
    • The stack is described by principle: open source by default, next-gen tech, replaceable by design.
  3. v0.5

    One key for the platform

    • Exo Key API tokens: scoped, app-bound, expiring, and stored only as a hash.
    • Every AI call is metered per customer, with vendor cost, markup, and price, plus GET /v1/usage and monthly spend caps.
    • Framework joins the stack (Next.js, TypeScript, React, proposed). Runtime and Mobile become one Deploy layer.
  4. v0.4

    Verify and route

    • Verify: one check contract for every app, a pre-push gate, live smoke and drift checks every 15 minutes, and AI code review.
    • Router: picks the cheapest model that can do each task, using Artificial Analysis benchmarks and the self-hosted Arch-Router.
    • Exo ID is renamed Exo Key. Sign-in tokens gained reuse detection and rate limits.
    • Security headers on every response.
  5. v0.3

    Mission control

    • New five-layer Exo mark and landing page.
    • Documentation at /docs: every stack layer, platform service, and decision record.
    • Decision records for Verify, Analyze, and mobile delivery.
  6. v0.2

    Identity and AI

    • One sign-in for every app (Google and GitHub), with Construct, Rampart, Dropship, and Universe connected.
    • AI requests go through one Exo endpoint and Convex’s AI gateway.
  7. v0.1

    Foundations

    • Exo runs on a Convex backend with built-in authentication.
    • Work tracking moves to Entire; the roadmap lives in the repository.
